Flow-Thru Humidifier help

Hey,

I am in need of a new whole house humidifier on my furnace. I plan on purchasing and installing my self and am confident in my abilities to do so. My question is what are the best brands out there. I see that the big box stores only carry Honeywell and Hamilton. I am curious if those brands are ok? Or should I look else where? I have a 2000 square foot house and live in the Midwest. Thanks

I don't know where to look in your area but Aprilaire also makes good humidifiers.
They may have a dealer locator on their site. Aprilaire | Air Purifiers, Humidifiers, Ventilation and more

I just purchased & installed a Honeywell HE300 for my 2200 sqft home in Cinci, OH. It works great. The best part is that the install was simple and the product is still warrantied for us DIY installers. I bought it from HVAC.com. This Honeywell model is not sold at big-box stores to my knowledge. If you have questions on the unit ask away. When I was researching different units I ultimately picked this one because of it's simplicity, quietness (I wanted a fan-powered unit mostly due to space), duty cycle water control, and, most importantly, they don't require a licensed contractor to cover the product under warranty.
