Questions about a furnace humidifier.

Hi all.

It's my first time to post on here.

We have moved a townhome and it has Carrier furnace.

Since we have 2 little babies, trying to install a furnace humidifier instead of

buying a portable small humidifier.

I have 2 questions.

1. Does it really work? I mean is it worth compare to portable humidifier?

2. Aprilaire 700M Whole-House Humidifier with Manual Control - Faucet Aerators And Adapters - Amazon.com.

This is the model I saw on Amazon. Will this model and/or any aftermarket furnace humidifier fit my HVAC unit?

Thanks.

Yes... they are very effective in adding humidity into a house.

Most forced air systems have room for a humidifier. We would need to see some pictures of your furnace to better assist you in locating a unit. That unit you linked to is a fan forced unit. You may need to use a bypass type unit (600M) depending on available room.
