Connecting Humidifier to Zoned Nest with HZ432

Hi,

Resurrecting this thread. I have basically a similar zoned setup (EMM-3 in this case), but, I'm only getting between 14.5 and 15.5 V across the C from the furnace board (not the zone control board.) and the * from any of my nests. This isn't enough to trigger the relay. When I apply 24V across pins 1 & 3 on the relay, I can hear it switch, so, the relay is working fine. Any ideas why I'm only getting 15V out of the C on the furnace board? I can try to tap into one of the C terminals on the control board that's feeding one of the nests (there are three zones).

Thanks in advance for any help.
Jeremy

Welcome to the forums.

You don't "get" anything from the C connection. The C is common.

You need to connect to the C from the same transformer that supplies the Nest. It's imperative to not mix power supplies. Since your stat connects to the EMM... the EMM is the C you should be using to the relay.

thanks. I wired it to one of the C terminals on the control board and it's working great.
