Frigidaire de-humidifier problems

Not sure if this is even possible to answer...I have not opened the unit, just noticed that the fan is working...but it blows cool air and doesn't take up any humidity from the room.
The collection bucket is empty and the control keeps showing ambient RH of 65% and the set point of 50%.
When it worked properly the exhausted air was always warm.

I am wondering if this looks like a simple repair.

PS: I can solder etc... so possibly I could fix it myself....just need to know how to diagnose.

Thanks!

Looks like another dehumidifier bites the dust. If the compressor is running.... you've lost the refrigerant.

Recharging is easy. Finding and fixing the leak is nearly impossible.

Check the warranty...some are as long as 5 years on sealed system...but always a pain to claim as you usually have to send the unit in at your expense...

thanks !! It does in fact carry 5 yrs warranty on the sealed system and I hope I can take it to the authorized service center which is just about 30 min drive from me....otherwise I will just take it to the recycle place and get some lunch money.....which sucks as this is $300 unit that is 4 yrs old.

Here's the kicker.... the recycling place won't take it without a certificate of refrigeration being removed. Name: xmas_eek.gif

You may have to bring it in.... in parts.
