HC 35 Lennox Steam Humidifier

My humidifier continuously refills without producing steam.

I have tried resetting it as per the instructions, the water empties and refills, the amp indicator augments till 3 amps, then the water re-empties and refills again but no steam is produced.

The display sometimes shows the code E8 which is foam detected, to which I have run various cleaning cycles but still no change in its operation.

Any help with this will be greatly appreciated

Thanks

I'm not real familiar with your steam humidifier but at 3A it definitely won't be producing much steam. It may be caused by a mineral buildup between the heating electrodes. Have you inspected the electrodes ?

My forum partner, Houston, may be more familiar with it.

Thanks for your reply. The electrodes are in the cylinder and I'm wondering if I can open the cylinder without causing damage to it.

No.... it appears the cylinder is not a repairable item. I'm looking into it further.
