Honeywell prestige adding a humidfier

We are tired of filling up out whole house portable humidifier.

We want to add one to our heatpump. Is this something that can be done?

We have a trane system with heat strips.

I also have the prestige thermostat i assume i can control the humidifier with that?

Sure... a humidifier can be added.

I have no idea where you live so I can't recommend a unit although I am partial to Aprilaire bypass type units.

Need a model number for the thermostat.
If the stat could control the humidifier... you'll need 1 maybe 2 extra wires from the stat to the air handler. Check and see if you have them.

Depending on what model is chosen.... the wiring can vary.

I live in north carolina.
I replaced the trane thermostat with the prestige iaq about 3 years ago.
It has the equipment interface module. The kit i used was ythx9421r5069.
I was looking at the 600 aprilaire and the 700.
I like the simpler fan unit of the 700 but the bypass one will work to. Our house is 2300 sqft with a crawlspace.
