Aprilaire 700M 24V wiring

Installed the humidifier on a American Standard model TUC100B948A0 furnace. Connected 24V leads from humidifier and humidistat to low voltage terminal board. Humidifier now comes on as soon as the stat calls for heat. How can I wire it to come on with the blower? Do I need the model 50 current sensing relay ? Thanks

Welcome to the forums.

You needed to buy the A (automatic) version as that comes with the humidistat that does what you want to do.

You can use the model 50 sensor/switch to activate the humidifier.

All my installations are done with the humidifier only running with the burner as I have found that not enough moisture is carried in the cool air making it an inefficient choice.

In NJ I've never had a problem with my own or a customers humidifier supplying enough humidity when the burned is running.

That is a little different with a heat pump as the air never gets as hot.

If that unit can't get enough moisture into the air.... then you have too much cold air leaking in.
