Nest: humidifier settings

Hello, I followed this wiring diagram to wire up my Humidifier with my Nest 2nd Gen. Name: nestwithNONPOWEREDhumidifier.jpg
Views: 87
Size: 15.7 KB
My question is what should these setting be on the nest?
Type: Hum / DeHum w AC / DeHum Standalone
Activate: Hum Only / Hum + Heat
Fan: Activate / Don't Activate

I currently have Hum , Hum Only, Don't Activate. But I have no idea if this is correct. Thank you.

The humidifier is an Aprilaire 600 so some research has told me i should have it on hum + heat. Still unclear on fan

HUM + HEAT is a correct setting. This way the humidifier only runs when the furnace does ensuring the maximum amount of humidity delivered.

The fan will run normally as it's taken care of under heat.

So either Activate / Don't Activate would be appropriate as the van will be turned on by the heat?

I'm not a nest pro as far as programming but I would say don't activate.

With a gas furnace..... the stat tells the furnace to heat and the furnace tells the blower when to run.
