New Sears 50qt DeHumidifier -sounds wrong, as if its blowing warm air only

So I gave up on my antique Dehumidifier... fan bearings went on it and it was way past due for replacement... maybe 25 yrs old. So picked up a new one at sears and plugged it in and it kicks on instantly but sounds as if its only a fan blowing and the air feels warm too. Shouldn't air passing over a condenser coil be cool? And whats with the condenser.... do the new ones really kick on that quietly that you can't hear it? The older ones used to give a small shake as it kicks in and the fan follows a few seconds behind, clearly hearing two different sounds as it runs... Fan & condenser. Now I just hear a fan instantly kick in and thats it.

Can anyone explain if this is this normal with new dehumidifiers?

Dehumidifier

I just installed a 50 quart Frigidaire, and it functions as you describe. Give it time. Does the bucket fill with water?

Dehumidifiers typically kick out warm air, not cool air.

When the older units started.... the fan and compressor came on together.
Now, with the newer units, the fan runs continuously and the compressor cycles.
The newer compressors are very quiet.
