help wiring a model 62

I have been having trouble with dry air in the house. I have a new furnace installed less then a year ago. It is oil fired hot air . Says RUDD on the front panel then tag inside says boyertown furnace . model ROLA-070p04_r. I just bought an Aprilaire 400 humidifier and a model 62 controller . My problem is my thermostat only has 2 wires going to it . and all the instructions say i need 4 . I do not have air conditioning . can i still use this controller and if so can any one help figure out how to wire it ? thanks

The manual says you should have a Honeywell R8285A fan center in there.
See if the one in the picture is what you have.

The humidifier should go into the supply ductwork and the 62 should go in the return ductwork - both near the furnace. The 62 doesn't connect to the thermostat. It connects at the board in the picture below.

well that sure would make life a lot easier. i will go look for that when i get home tonight. the way my furnace is set up it would be very hard to mount the unit on the supply side. but very easy to put it in the return and then run a duct to the supply . if i do that would i put the controller on the supply or return ?

The 62 needs to be before the humidifier in the airflow or the humidified air will affect it.
