Help connecting Aprilaire 700M to two Nests

Can't figure this out based on the other posts.

I have two nests and the EWC NCM300 Zone Control System. I want to install a Aprilaire 700M humidifier.

I have a c wire connected to each nest and an extra wire that I can connect to the * on each nest.

Here is a picture of the control board:

Please let me know how I should wire this up to take advantage of the dual nests.

Thank you!

Welcome to the forums.

That's because it's never done. One thermostat takes control of the humidifier.

If you want two thermostats to control the same humidifier then you will need to add two relays into the system. Each nest will activate a relay which in turn will activate the humidifier.

Thank you!

Interesting... is it never done because it is a bad idea, unnecessary complicated, just not common or some other reason you could share?

Typically the thermostat on the main floor dictates the humidity level.

That makes sense. Really appreciate the help. For the C wire connection to the humidifier, I just need to tap it into the Zone 1 T'STAT C on the lower right side of the controller? Thanks again.
