Ecobee 3 and Aprilaire 400M help

I have Aprilaire 400M humidifier which was working with Aprilaire Humidistat last winter. This spring I installed Ecobee3 including the humidifier( using PJMax wiring diagram), HVAC ( A/C through the Summer and heat in Fall worked as expected). But humidifier is not working. the solenoid is not opening the water supply.
Wifey is not happy. Need help to trouble shooting.
So far, I have swapped the wires to Humidifier ( ACC+ and C), no success.

Welcome to the forums.

Started a new thread just for you.

With the 400M you no longer use the existing humidistat. You would need to connect one solenoid lead to the C terminal at the furnace and the other solenoid wire to the ACC+ terminal on the t'stat.

You'd need to program the t'stat for one wire/ACC+ humidifier activation.

I did some more troubleshooting the other day, i was able to confirm solenoid is working by moving(raising up) the magnet floats in 400M, but water was still coming to humidifier. so, it was saddle value shut off which causing problem. Now all good humidifier is working with Ecobee3.

Thanks @PJmax. you have added good useful info in this forum.
