Aprilaire 600A with Ecobee4 (using PEK)

Hello all,

I previously installed my Aprilaire 600A whole house humidifier and just recently bought an Ecobee4. I am wanting to integrate the humidifier with the thermostat, but I'm not sure I am finding the right stuff for my application. The thermostat is installed with the Power Extender Kit (no C wire).

I understand I will have to disconnect the automatic humidistat (got the whole unit for a hell of a deal in case someone inquires that I paid more and should have got the M)

My question is, do I need to run a new wire from the furnace to the thermostat since my Ecobee was installed with the PEK (Power Extender Kit). If that is the case, would I pretty much reinstall the thermostat as a C connection rather than use the PEK?

Any help is greatly appreciated. Drawings or diagrams are greatly appreciated as well :)

Thanks!

Welcome to the forums.

You are going to need a wire from the humidifier to the ACC+ terminal so running a new cable and eliminating the PKE is highly recommended.
