wiring in new HSP 2000 steam humidifier

In stalled a white Rodgers (Skuttle) 120v steam humidifier on a Lennox furnace running off a Generalaire GFX3 humidistat when the humidistat calls for humidity, water is boiled and the furnace comes on, but the AC also comes on ( compressor running) I know some humidistat can turn on the AC to reduce humidity, but I have nothing wired to the AC only wired to the fan thru an SPDT relay to allow the fan to run even if no call for heat

Welcome to the forums.

You're going to have to post pictures or draw me a diagram...... How-to-insert-pictures.
Otherwise I'll be forced to guess at your wiring which will be of no help.

In some installations...... when there is a shortage of wires between the equipment and the thermostat...... they convert the Y (A/C) wire to a combo Y & G lines which means when you power the blower..... the A/C comes on.

You misunderstood me. I know how to wire the unit. How did YOU wire it ?
I can't see your wiring.
