Goodman furnace with generalaire humidifier install
I‘be been blogged about how my bypass wasn’t working till I checked today after having a new furnace installed 2 years ago. I found he never wired it. I have 0 knowledge of furnace but only need to know where to connect the 2 wires as they are connected through the solenoid and the humidistat properly from my old furnace. Just need to know to what connections they go to on the furnace board. I tried to connect to Hum and C and my solenoid burned out. Where did I go wrong. I have a Goodman furnace, general aire humidifier and a humidistat.
Yes..... and if you read the caution on the board it says 120v.
You can connect a 120v to 24v transformer to that HUM terminals and one of the spare neutrals.
If you only have a W1 wire connected..... you can connect to W1 and C where the thermostat wires connect.
Hello,
I have a Carrier 58MVC furnace with 2 stage heat pump. It is controlled with the Infinity control thermostat, I currently have a Honeywell TrueSteam humidifier installed in the following configuration:
I am looking to get rid of the TrueSteam (piece of junk!) and go to an Aprilaire 800. However, I am not sure how to wire the control wiring. The 800 only has two HUM terminals (humidistat), which I'm pretty sure go to the contact side of the existing relay (the 800 has dry contacts like the TrueSteam does). There are no other control connections on the 800 that I'm aware of. So I do not know where I would connect the R and C wires from the furnace. Do I need the R and C wires connected to the Aprilaire 800? If so, not sure where they would go. What do the R and C connections do on the TrueSteam? Any input is appreciated.
Hi, my friend helped me to install this Honeywell HE360 whole house humidifier 4 years ago.
It has been working for the past 3 years. A few weeks ago, the weather got cold so the furnace started to run so as the humidifier. I noticed that constant clicking sound came out of the humidifier. Whenever the clicking sound occurred, the fan would stop and start running. I did see water came out so I do not think the problem is the valve. I thought that might be the control board, so I ordered a new one to replace the old one. But the issue still exist so I put the old control board back.
I am still figuring out what the issue is. If anyone can give me advice, I would really appreciate that.
