Frigidaire dehumidifier- compressor only cuts in on Continuous setting?
I have a Frigidaire model no. FAD301N. Few years old, not a lot of use.
When I used to turn it on by rotating the Humidity dial, the compressor would kick in somewhere between the half-way & 3/4 dial marks. Now I notice I have to turn it all the way up to the Continuous mark before I hear the compressor cut in. On any lower level setting only the fan runs - no compressor. Is there something I can do, or check (I'm no small appliance repairman!), or is this a sign of a problem developing?

That sounds like the humidity sensor is bad.
It's typically mounted to a little board in front of the evaporator (cold) coil. It cannot get wet.
Unfortunately there is no technical support available for that unit.
Not even a complete parts listing.
