frozen venison

How long can frozen venison be stored without it going bad.

Nine to ten months is about the limit but it depends on the storage temperature and how well it was wrapped.

Frozen foods need to be kept at 18 degC or 0 degF or lower.

For optimum shelf life, as indicated, depends on how well venison is wrapped and temperature of freezer. See the following link at http://www.askthemeatman.com/its_all_in_the_wrapping_art_updated_9300.htm

I used some today that had been in there two years and it was fine. I wrap it in saran wrap and then butcher paper when I process it and it keeps 'till I use it, which is normally sooner than two years.
