Bad tasting castor oil
We have a substantial number of eastern moles invading our lawn and am looking to make a castor oil solution to repel them. However, the castor oil I'm finding is tasteless. Can someone help me locate bad tasting castor oil?

You will need to find a particular recipe that will deter them. Simply making it bad tasting is not enough. After all, they eat insects and worms. What's good to them is bad tasting to us.

Why would castor oil deter them?
I've found that lawn chemicals work the best but it's particularly satisfying to see one pop up out of a hole and then fill that hole with water from the hose when they go back down. When they come up for air, be ready with a sharp hoe or shovel. Personally, I have a favorite neighbor on whose lawn I then throw the carcass.

This link takes us to castor oil based products for mole control. I've never used them and have no knowledge of their success (or not). We always used the "fake earthworms" as a bait and got results that way. Maybe a combination of the two but don't contaminate the "fake worms".
Some of these products are 100% castor oil but others have other ingredients in them that may be of interest to you. After clicking on a product, look for the active ingredients. Also click on the "SDS" (Safety Data Sheet) which may have chemical info too.
