Woodchuck problem

My neighbor has a family of woodchucks living under his pool house. I suggested a Hav A Hart trap but I don't know what would make a good bait. Any suggestions?

I suggest fruits or vegetables such as carrots, lettuce, apples, strawberries, or cantalope.

Ground hogs like all of the above. Use a combination of sweet odor and leafy plants. You get olfactory and visual appeal. Be aware that raccoons, opossums, and skunks may enter after dark. They should close the trap at dark, as groundhogs will have already gone to their holes by then and you won't catch them after dark. It would be good if they could open the trap before daylight, but if not, it's not a big deal.
