Diazinon shelf life
#1

We have recently been re-invaded by carpenter ants. This time I have located their entry point.
Entry was due to neglecting the exterior spray treatment this spring. When I looked at the bottle of Diazinon to mix a new "treatment", it said use within six months of purchase. The bottle is ~2 years old. The minimum size was a quart and with a 1/4 acre yard, I use very little at a time.
Has this stuff lost its potency, or can I continue to use as-is?
TIA,
Brad

Brad,
I had recently looked this up myself and found the shelf life to be 5 - 7 years in a tightly sealed container.
So, just follow the mfr's instuctions for mixing and the safety precautions and you should be good to go .
