Robin pests
Hello,
We have a landscape bed around the front of our home. It is mulched with cypress mulch. Robins have invaded the bed. I assume they are looking for worms, but in the meantime our bed looks like swiss cheese. Any ideas how I might discourage this behavior? We have changed to cedar mulch recently hoping this would help. It is very unsightly. Thanks in advance.

One option is to cover mulch with landscape mesh to deter birds and other wildlife from digging in mulch. Birds usually dig in mulch in search of food. Mulch is also a source of nesting material. Motion sensor sprinklers are often recommended for keeping pests out of landscapes.
