Dead Animal Odor
10 days ago I noticed an odor in an upstairs bathroom. Since there was a laundry hamper in there I figured it was time to do the wash but the odor persisted and became stronger and stronger. I isolated the source to the linen closet, removed everything in there and found nothing. This awful smell is clearly a decaying animal of some sort and it must be in the wall behind the linen closet. I do not detect the odor on the other side of that wall which is a bedroom. My question is will this odor eventually dissapate or must I have the wall opened and have whatever that died in there removed? I think the smell is beginning to ease up a bit, but it sure isn't pleasent!
