Hatch Ants

We have alot of fir trees. These Ants build hills up to 3' high next to the tree trunk. I have used wasp spray with no results. I don't want to used Gasoline or anything like that.
Thanks
Jeff

Jeff,

Try Amdro, or Spectracide makes a good "fire ant" killer that you water into the mound. Both work well.

Hi all,
I used just about everything on these guys.
All they did was move a few feet.
Then I declared War 1/2 Gal of Bleech in 1 Gal Can of water.
I have a 25 pound rod for digging out big rocks. This I use to penitrate the mound sending it down maybe 3 feet.
Now these guys are pissed so I pour the mix down the hole.
This works better than anything I used.
We are on a well and the major investion is in this area so the bleech not only gets these guys but will clean out the well if it ever gets down that far. Watch out for plants or trees as this sure will wipe them out.
