garden pest
I just put in a new perenial garden last week. I have noticed that something is digging up my plants. Prior to my new garden I had a grub problem, and somthing was tearing my lawn up. I put down grub killer just before I started planting. That worked on the lawn, but now my plants are being torn up. I am assuming that the original pest was a skunk, becuse we could smell it at night. Could the skunk be responsible for the garden? And what can I do?

Hi Sallen,
It's most helpful to know just which pest is doing the damage. You can sprinkle some flour around and in the bed to see the tracks in the morning. You might be able to get some good pictures of the tracks as well. Here's some sites to help you id the tracks. Then we'll know what to do. This first has both the striped and spotted skunk.
