Are these termites white ants whatever??
In our garden about 12 metres from the house we have this black plastic layed on the ground to stop weeds. we pulled it up today and under it we found a dozen or 2 white looking ants that look like termites. there were also black ants under there as well as a few other bugs.
but are these termites? picture attached.

if so, is it anything to worry about? we have just had the house inspected for termites and they found nothing in the house.

Termites, white-ants, occur throughout Australia. They can destroy the wall and roofing timbers of a home within 3 months of construction. They are small, about half the size of a match head and have soft bodies. They radiate in tunnels from a central colony in search of wood (cellulose) on which they feed. They build mud shelter tubes up foundation to wood source on homes.
Maintain the contract with the exterminator for annual inspections of your home. Termites in the landscape are a concern. White ants destroy more homes in Australia than fire and floods and other causes combined.

Where I live in the US we have subterranean termites that aren't a problem unless they get into the house.
