deer ticks

I'm fixing my backyard shed and it sits right against the woods. I discovered 2 ticks on me since I started working on it. Now I have to watch out for a bulls-eye rash from what I read. There's a lot of pine needles about a foot deep around two sides of the shed and some mice in the area. I think that's where they're coming from. I found something called Duranon tick repellent for clothes which I'm picking up today but I want to try and kill the ones around the shed. I'm in jersey and quite a few of the tick control products aren't able to be shipped or sold here. Go figure since this is pretty much the tick capital of the country. Any suggestions? thanks

Wear long sleeves and pants when working in the area and treat the cuffs with sulfur powder and/or use a repellent with DEET

Can you find Tempo WP (wettable powder) at the local Home Depot or Lowes?
Rake up the leaf debris if possible and treat all suspect areas including and especially all cracks in the structure you are working in. inside and out
