In the basement laundry area we found small piles of dead worms under active spider webs. The worms are 1/2 inch long, brown, coiled. Only found in the basement laundry area, under active spider webs. Not near any floor drains, and we haven't noticed any flies or moths, and no live worms. Any ideas as to what these might be? What should we be looking for?

Do the worms have legs?
Sounds like millipedes which are common here in the summer.
If so it is a coincidence that they are under the spiders which are probably there because of the flying bugs that also come out in the summer months
If they are millipedes they should be coming from the much type beds out side
At least that is the Florida diagnoses
