ticks in bedroom HELP
We recently noticed some ticks in our bedroom. Is there anyway to treat the room without going through a pest control company? I vacuumed everything, I only see 1 or two compared to the approx 25 the first day.
Any advise would be great
thanks

Ticks can hitch a ride into the home on pets or clothing. Unless a tick has attached itself to a host upon which to feed, they usually don't last long indoors because the air is too dry for them. The brown dog tick (1/8" and brownish red) can, however, survive indoors. Since you saw 25, you likely have an infestation. It will be challenging to eliminate the infestation because eggs get laid in cracks and crevices around doors and windows, baseboards, and floor boards.

we had this same exact problem one of our dog was infested with them and we didnt realize they were all at the bottom of her feet and in her ears and arm pits. When we noticed them we also realized they were everywhere. We bomb the house with flea and tick killer. killed 98% of them. never had a problem again. CHECK YOUR ANIMALS DAILY! also use frontline it helps alot!

Thank you for your responses. We had our house treated from a pest control co, and our yard twice. Now we are seeing a few ticks everyday. I was thinking of bombing the house is there any brand that works best for ticks?
Thanks for your help

Sprays and bombs will have no effect on eggs, which are in protective egg cases, hidden in cracks and crevices around doors and windows, baseboards, and in floor boards. Repeat applications by the exterminator will hopefully eliminate all the ticks. All cracks and crevices need repeat treatments with residual insecticide and an ongoing check for ticks in the home.
