Small black/brown/yellow specks in bedsheets

Hi all - just to give some back story I've had a problem with itching for several months now - initially thought it was headlice, as it seemed to be contagious, but I got checked out for that, and had no apparent problems (also the over-the-counter treatment didn't work). Initial diagnosis of scabies was wrong, so currently I'm seeing an allergist.

I've noticed small, hard specks, primarily black, in my bedsheets, and I'm curious if they could have anything to do with it? Bed bugs? I know fleas leave fecal matter that looks like it, but surely if I was given the OK for headlice, that same would go for fleas?Name: DSC_0072.jpg

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hard to see the specks in detail but they donít look like flea or bedbug fecal material. They resemble mouse droppings or the fecal material from the larger species of cockroaches. The presence of either rodents or roaches (cast skins) can cause allergic reactions.

Keep us posted as to what you learn or with any more details.
