Brown boxelder bug which is the more correct name for XSleepers description, which is a common name for them. Here in the northeast our boxelder bugs are red and black for the most part.
They are harmless but can be a nuisance. They also like boxelder trees which are a scrubby version of maple trees. They also like lilac bushes.
