Tiny red ant problem

We have been using boric acid mixed in peanut butter for 2 weeks now on tiny red ant infestation. The keep coming back for more. Is it me or does it look like the ants are sorting out the parts of the peanut butter they do not want? Te powdery stuff around the peanut butter / boric acid mix is what they are sorting out.Name: image.jpg

The boric acid is drying out the peanut butter. I believe that what we see is peanut butter ďdustĒ because of that.

I question how well peanut butter and boric acid will emulsify or go into solution.

Most boric acid ant baits that Iím familiar with are in the 5% to 6% active ingredient range. Too much or too little wonít work even if you can get it into solution, suspension, etc.

Purchase liquid or gel ant bait over the counter. We have success with the gels/liquids. Donít spray anything or use any strong cleaners near the bait as they are repellent and you will be working against yourself.

Keep us posted.
