Problem with beetles

Ex- is entomophobic (ha, look that one up) and has had a few of what they apparently call "ground beetles" in her 1st floor apartment up in WA state. Any suggestions?

I know I know...a couple of freaking beetles and she goes crazy. Has to be something commonly available, no special order or Pro stuff.

She lives on the west side of the Cascades, around Lacey, as I recall, correct? That is NOT the same as downtown Manhattan and the bugs are fairly normal. My suggestion would be to move to an upper floor apartment or else aversion therapy.

I had a GF that was absolutely scared s***less of spiders, any size spiders. We went to the zoo one day and they had a docent encounter with several different spiders. During that Jeannie actually got up the nerve to pet a big hairy tarantula and that made all the difference in the world. She still didn't want any spiders in the house but at least she didn't go hysterical over them.

OR, you could suggest to your former wife that she move to the eastern part of the state where she would have to deal with rattlesnakes.

Exterior perimeter needs to be sprayed. Granulating will work too if they are getting rain periodically.

A good active ingredient that is low in toxicity and effective is : Bifenthrin.

Can be used indoors too. If there is a basement underneath her apt it should be sprayed too. Floor/wall junction and foundation wall/band board area.

One thorough treatment should do it. These guys aren’t hard to control.
Ground beetles are usually “carabids”.

...if they are getting rain periodically.
Had to chuckle at that. Our rainy season is roughly from September through June.
