Slug bait station.
Has anyone built a container for holding metaldehyde slug poison? The poison itself is massively effective, if I just put a single scoop down I’ll get ~50 dead slugs in a day. The problem is the rain washes it away. Any ideas?

That's an interesting idea that I've never tried. Wood conducts moisture, at least slowly, so I don't think I'd use that material. I do remember that slugs were always a problem in our exterior rodent bait boxes, hard plastic, as the slugs loved the rodenticide bait blocks, so they aren't averse to entering stations.
As a sidenote, knowing that you didn't ask this, metaldehyde is especially toxic to dogs but it sounds like you know what you're doing.
Here's an example of a bait station designed for insects and slugs. No idea if it works well or not. There are other insect bait stations on that site. Might give you some ideas.
