The head looks elongated from the body, not separate like a beetle. Our bug pro will know for sure when he sees this and can explain better than me.

Some type of rhopalidae, I would guess. Pretty unusual. Definitely not a cockroach.

definitely not a cockroach. It's an outside bug, what we called "occasional invaders". Beetle of sorts.
