Tiny bug in house

A beetle of some type. There are probably a few thousand kinds so pretty hard to I.D. without some DNA.

The thorax (middle part) appears to have saw teeth on the edge. If so, then it's a "saw toothed grain beetle". It's a stored product pest, coming from grain products very close by. Where the density is the greatest, is when you are closest to the source. Be aware that there may be an overpopulation and/or the food source is disappearing which could explain their presence outside of cabinets, pantrys, etc. When you find the source of food/harborage, don't stop as there will likely be secondary sources at this point.

Re: Tiny bugs?
Thanks for quick responses. We saw them in several different areas( bath and bedrooms) but will check the pantry area carefully this morning.
Besides checking all food items and cleaning the area well, is there anything else to get rid of the “roaming” ones we see in the other areas?
Thanks
Ray

Found source of tiny bugs!!!!
Again, thanks for quick responses. Checking the pantry, we found them in an open bag of flour. Did not see them in other probable foods until we vacuumed our way to the coat closet( 15 feet away. A bag of bird seed had hundreds visible.
There were several hundred more hanging out in our jackets.
Lesson learned, as was suggested, the flour was probably NOT the only place to look.
Birds will have a banquet tomorrow
Thanks again

Good job! Give yourselves credit for doing the work required!
The adults will probably go away when food sources are removed or sealed off. This would be a good time to wet wipe the pantry and other closets to remove even small crumbs as they may be small to us, but large to them. If there is adjustable shelving or peg holes, clean them out too.
You should see a noticeable reduction in beetles quickly. The gestation period can be long, so don't freak out if you see a few even weeks/months down the road. Shouldn't be a lot though. If you see a lot, then look for sources in odd places. You've got experience at that now! Any crawling insect spray would be good to stop the adults, but with any stored product pest, removing harborage and food source is paramount.
