Found these at every single window jam at house. How to prevent them?

I found these gum-looking, white patch of presumably insect egg casing on every single window jam at my house. They are lodged right between the window and the window jam, presumably to benefit from the warm stream of air flowing out from inside to the ouside.

What are they?
What can you do in the fall to prevent them as part of winterizing your home?

Probably not much can be done to prevent, just wipe them away!

Spiders. Yeah, that's kind of part of regular cleaning and dusting. I suppose there are chemicals, but residuals don't kill every bug instantly.

They make temporary caulks, like Dap Peel n Seal or rope caulking, but not sure that is needed here.
