Will wasp spray corrode metal building panels?
I recently had a steel building put up, and the wasps have found a new home. I've read that some chemicals can interact with the steel causing corrosion...
Do you think walmart wasp spray would leave any residuals or do any harm?
Thanks in advance!

I'm assuming you're referring to an aerosol? That so, I doubt it would cause metal corrosion. They dry so quickly. I would be cautious about using it on vinyl siding unless the label says it's safe; even then I might do something else. I've seen it stain/etch vinyl. If you can find the label on the internet, sometimes there is a section pertaining to staining, damage, using near electricity, etc.

I have never had corrosion or even staining from spray wasp killers. Yes, any liquid containing water can promote corrosion on bare metal but I don't think there is anything in the can that "causes" corrosion.

Wasp spray has a fair amount of petroleum product in there, corrode no, stain possibly. Aim well!!

Supposedly a brown paper bag crumpled up is supposed to deter new nest. I never tried it. BUT I did remove residents from some large nest but did not remove the actual nest, never repopulated. I think the paper bag s supposed to do the same thing.
