Tougher than Tom mosquito repellant

Has anyone tried this? I can't imagine how it works putting buckets on just the 4 corners of a 1 acre property, but it seems to get good reviews

I am highly skeptical. As for reviews, where did you see those reviews? I would take that into consideration.

Never heard of this until now. Nowhere do they tell us what the active ingredients are, or any Safety Data Sheet or technical info, at least that I could find. Reading elsewhere, apparently it's a sugar and yeast and salt based bait. Mosquitos eating bait? I'm in the very skeptical camp with this product.
The attached link offers analysis from someone other than the seller/manufacturer. I did not watch any of the videos, but did read the article and summary at the end. I suggest reading the summary and the following commentary from skeptics and proponents and the reviewers' response.
Many factors will change mosquito behavior quickly, such as drought, wind direction, time of year, results from large scale mosquito treatment even if not in the immediate area. Confirmation bias is a factor that will make one believe that they made a good purchase/decision.

I live in Northern NJ, with a big suburban yard, and lots of wildlife. deer, foxes etc. cruise thru regularly. but in my many years here I've only had one woodchuck come in the yard and managed to chase him out making a lot of noise etc. before he could settle in. now I've got this young one (judging from his size) and he's settled in under my pool's pump house. it's build on cinder blocks in the corners and open on three sides. I've read a lot on line about this, and think I'm doing it right, but he's been dodging me for a week now. I bought a trap from Harbor Freight, which seems to operate just fine and just like my smaller have-a-heart. opens one end only tho, but from what I've read that should be OK. I washed it to get rid of any human smell (water only so no perfume), and wear gloves when handling. I'm using cantalope for bait, and hanging it from a wire all the way in the back, since it seems my many chipmunks can slip in and get it (tho it seems they might still be getting it). I have the trap hidden in ground cover, covered with cardboard, with a couple rocks on top to keep it from rattling, and greens on top and at the entrance/inside to hide the bright metal including the trigger. I used some low garden fencing to try and direct him to the trap. Pics attached to show both the trap and his two entrances under my pool house. I even set up a trail cam and see him in the pics walking around (along with many birds, chipmonks etc.) but not going in. I did catch a possum one night, so now I shut the trap at dusk and open again at dawn. All to no avail. open to any/all suggestions, and really appreciate the help! Read More

Small black ants in bathroom

We have very small black ants entering bathroom via a small gap between window frame and wall. They generally go back and forth between the entrance and the adjacent wall, traveling in a pretty straight line along where the sheetrock meets the tile. Sometimes, at the adjacent wall, they go into an area on the side of the medicine cabinet (behind the attached mirror). Spraying vinegar/water mixture along the path stopped/reduced them for a bit, but then they came back so I called an exterminator. 1 week ago tomorrow he came and sprayed (I don't know what) along the path, in the crack as best he could, and in other areas around the window. He also sprayed from the outside. He said it was mostly a residual, not a knock down, so it might take some time. Ants stopped almost entirely, until yesterday when they started coming back. It's not as bad as it originally was (a week ago we'd see 5 to 10, kill them, then see another 5 to 10 seconds later, now there's 1 or 2 sporadically) but they are definitely back and no matter how often we kill them, another 1-2 are there the next time we go in the bathroom. Do I need to give the residual more time to work? Do I plug the crack with caulk? I'm afraid if I do that, they will just be forced to some other part of the house. Do I call the exterminator back? Is there something I should spray on my own rather than call him back? I don't mind ordering concentrated chemicals from domyown or amazon and mixing them myself (I have plenty of gallon tank sprayers that I often use for mixing permethrin or bifenthrin for spraying outside, though I've never sprayed inside) or I could buy something premixed (a name brand) from a big box store if that makes more sense given the small area.
