Utility porch insulation

We have an enclosed utility porch on the back of our house (built 1920). We believe it sits on concrete supports with no foundation. We'd like to turn it into a laundry room and just keep the door between the kitchen and the porch open so it is heated. Should we insulate the floor in some way? Thanks.

C. Fahy,

Since you intend to make this a heated space and not knowing where you live, I would assume that you don't want to have issues with freezing pipes.

It would be best to properly insulate this room to prevent problems as well as keep your heating and cooling bills down.

Hope this helps!
