Is fiberglass batt insulation recyclable?
I recently purchased a home which had mice nesting in the batts between the basement and main floor. I removed and will replace most of that insulation, but I am wondering what to with the old batts. Seems a shame to landfill them.

If you can figure out a plan for old insulation, you will be rich. It is very expendable.

Hi Jeff -
I'm curious what your solution was to keep the critters out of the insulation once you've replaced it. I posted such a question a while ago - wonder what you did in this case.

I got a cat! That's the truth, and the mice are very reluctant to come into the house this fall.
