I recently removed a small pantry in my kitchen on the ground floor of my brick rowhouse, and I am framing out the pantry space to put in a small half-bath. I removed the plaster and lathe from the rear of the pantry which is the exterior brick wall, it occassionally gets damp from rain as the bricks seem to absorb moisture, now that this will be a finished half bath how should I insulate that exterior wall before sheetrocking over it?

Before you do anything on the inside of the brick wall, seal it from the outside. If you don't, moisture will destroy whatever you do to the inside.
