Angry Miraflex Attic Insulation

Hello:

This weekend I added more insulation in my unfinished attic. I purchased the Unfaced Miraflex R25 to add more insulation. The problem (I think it is a problem) that I did is took the Cotton inuslation from inside the pink wrapper. I never worked with insulation before and I assumed that the pink wrapper must go or it will trap moisture. After I added 4 rolls with the same procedure (removing the pink wrappers) I happened to look closely at the wrappera and they are peforated.

My question: I know that I should not have taken the wrappers, did I affect the R-value of the white cotton without pink wrapper? Do I have to removeall the insualtion that I added and replace it with new ones and keep the wrapper?

Help please.

Moe

I think is is fiberglass insulation, not cotton. The wrap just holds the fiberglass inside so it does not itch you and get in your lungs. Think you are OK. We do some funny things sometimes.
