Adding cellulose over fiberglass

I've decided to add cellulose over my R-19 kraft faced fiberglass in the attic. My question is, how much should I add to bring it up to R-49 (as suggested for my area). Thanks, Rob.

insulation

Id go for about an 8" blow there. Make sure you dont block any of your vents there in the attic. Another thing look at the bags it comes in and see what the R --- is on the bags per " and then make sure they blow all of the bags in for you. Have found a lot of them open the air shutter there and give you a good blow say like 10" but they take 1/3 of the bags back and you dont get the true R---- for it ED

Greetings,

The best you can get from "R" 49 is about "R" 25. You would get better results if you install a radiant barrier on top of the existing insulation.

Thank you for considering my opinion.
