basement insulation

I'm in the process of framing out my basement walls (in front of concrete blocks). I'm sure that when I shop for insulation there are going to be too many choices. What insulation should I get?
R-factor? Faced or unfaced? Does the brand matter? How much should I expect to spend? Should I get the insulation that comes 16 inches wide to fit into the studs?

My recommendation would be to use R-19 faced batts for your insulation, they will fit neatly in the stud cavities and should be stapled to hold them up iin place.

Hope that helps, post back if you have more ??'s & do let us know how the project comes out. We like success stories! Happy holidays.
