basement insulation

basement insulation

I'm in the process of framing out my basement walls (in front of concrete blocks). I'm sure that when I shop for insulation there are going to be too many choices. What insulation should I get?
R-factor? Faced or unfaced? Does the brand matter? How much should I expect to spend? Should I get the insulation that comes 16 inches wide to fit into the studs?

My recommendation would be to use R-19 faced batts for your insulation, they will fit neatly in the stud cavities and should be stapled to hold them up iin place.
