weather proofing an old barn

We are waiting to move into our new home which is a 150 year old house and barn. The exterior of the barn is not air tight, in fact there are visible gaps between the boards. Our problem is this: we need to insulate the barn walls in order to use the space for a small business. Is there a type of insulation that we can use that would not be damaged by any moisture that might come in between the boards? It is important that the original appearance of the exterior be preserved.

We really appreciate any suggestions you can send us.

Thanks!!

Hi briarsong
Would something like this work if you put a liner against the wood.

Sorry briarsong
I see they have the vB code shut off in this forum also. You will have to copy paste the URL into your address box.

Had one here not to long ago like yours. Cut 15 lb felt to fit in the studs and put it again the outside boards then put the insulation up paper side to the room. They said it worked just fine ED
