insulation

I have insulation in 2 X 6 walls with the kraft paper facing the inside walls. The iside has no drywall yet. I had to remove some insulation to put a dryer vent through the wall and the outside wall was covered with frost pretty heavy. Is this normal and won't it cause problems when this melts?
