12" on center studs

12" on center studs

I'm currently working on a rehab project. House was built in 1948 and some of the exterior wall studs are 13" on center, not 16". Anyone ever hear of this and is there a standard insulation available for these walls? If not, what's the most effective workaround?

Get the R-13 with out paper and press it in then put a 4 mil poly over it then drywall . Or there is a wet kind of cellulose you can get to blow it in then put the poly over it after its drys
