Insulating an Exterior Wood wall

What is the procedure I would use for insulating a cabin exterior crawl space that is built with railroad ties? The cabin is in northern Minnesota, and the floors get very cold. My crawl space is only two feet high, so it would be easiest to do from the outside. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks - Steve

Insulating the exterior walls of the crawl space from the outside will have little or no effect on the comfort for you for the floor above the crawl space. I would recommend gaining access to the crawl space and laying down a moisture barrier on the dirt floor.
