Attic Question
I have a vented attic with 2' of blow in.
Is it smart, and or, ok to add insulation to the pitch of the roof? (providing there is still a path for the air to travel)
Draw backs? Pro's? Con's?
Thanks, and happy T'day

There is no return to put more up there now on top of 2'.
You do have foam rafter vents so the air can get up from the over hang into the attic dont you . You need 1 sq ft for every 150sq ft of attic 1/2 in and 1/2 out. Of open vents

Wouldn't it reduce heat buildup in the summer? Blocking some of the radiant sun energy and therby allowing the upstairs to stay cooler? I would assume it would also trap warm air in the room rather than let it escape makin the void the insulator.
Just a thought I had. Yes, I have fresh air vents but no they aren't foam. For some reason they are cardboard but they are in good condition.
