Wink Garage Insulation

I have an attached garage 22x24 which is going to insulated and covered in drywall. I do not plan on heating this area. My builder and building inspector indicate that because this will be an unheated area that it is best not to use any vapor barrier- just insulate and drywall. Reason they give it that if a vapor barrier is used I will experience condensation problems.

What is the proper method vapor barrier or not?

This site explains the use of Vapor Diffusion Retarder (Vapor barrier) to you.

Depending on the area you live determines if a vapor barrier should be applied or not and how it should be applied.
